- This is Boise State’s final season in the WAC (Western Athletic Conference). In 2011 they will join the MWC (Mountain West Conference).
- Head coach Chris Petersen is in his 5th year as Head Coach.
- The Broncos return ALL but two starters from last year’s UNDEFEATED team. They have 9 Seniors and 10 Juniors in their 22-man starting line-up (11 on offense and 11 on defense). That means all but three players are upperclassmen, which speaks volumes about not only their experience on the field but also just being on the team and knowing the system.
- The biggest complaint about Boise State is the level of competition they face compared to other top teams in the FBS that are vying for the National Championship.
- Quarterback Kellen Moore is a junior and in his 3rd year as a starter. He was #2 in the nation in passing efficiency last year. He does best when passing out of Play-Action or when he is in the Red Zone (27 Touchdowns in the red zone compared to just 1 Interception). His favorite targets are wide receivers Titus Young and Austin Pettis.
