- The ups and downs suffered by this team finally culminated in the firing of head coach Al Groh (who is now defensive coordinator at Georgia Tech) after finishing with their worst record since the early 80’s (3-9). Throughout Groh’s tenure this team lacked an identity, especially on offense. Their rushing game went from good to terrible and their passing was inconsistent at best. And with defensive minded Groh you would have expected at the very least a solid defense, but that unit was unstable as well.
- This team enters 2010 with a new head coach in Mike London and no identity whatsoever.
